Holistic Group Counseling
" I want to explore what's possible for my health with others who are doing the same. "
Are you an individual looking to explore, learn and cultivate your mental health wellness? Ready to work with a group of like-minded
people? Want to work in a supportive environment
around a health topic of interest? Want to self-explore to
self-understand and self-grow through group counseling?
If so, then you value learning, exploring and growing as a part of who you are. You appreciate the enrichment that comes from self-understanding.
I offer psycho-educational groups. Also, known as group therapy or group counseling or group work. They are intended to help you cultivate your mental health wellness through the therapeutic process and to build skills. Groups and psycho-ed skills building classes offered at Handcrafted Health may help you support stress reduction, the mind-body connection and mental health wellness.
Got questions about upcoming groups? Just ask.
Small groups of 6-10 people come together around a main health topic and goal. Group therapy is an interactive experience where therapy and specific skill-building come together in process oriented work. Holistic group counseling is both educational and therapeutic. The environment is supportive and proactive. Participants share and work on self-understanding along with others who are facing similar challenges. The people participating earnestly want to personally grow in positive ways. Group counseling offers an educational, experiential and supportive use of the group experience to help each person’s commitment to their personal growth, mental health wellness and mind, body, spirit healing. Groups can help cultivate insight through a group dynamic process. Groups are intended to support individuals in learning new skills, applying them and hopefully growing into new coping tools for everyday living.
Groups are offered in downtown Silver Spring, MD and are metro accessible.
