Holistic Group Counseling
Holistic Health Continuing Ed
Ready to work with a group of like-minded
people? Want to work alongside other people in a supportive environment
around a health topic of interest? Want to self-explore to
self-understand and self-grow through group counseling?
If so, then you value learning, exploring and growing as a part of who you are. You appreciate the enrichment that comes from self-understanding.
Generally, I offer psycho-educational groups. Also, known as group counseling or group work.
Small groups of 6-10 people come together around a main health topic and goal. Group counseling is an interactive experience where group therapy and specific skill-building come together in process oriented work. Holistic group counseling is both educational and therapeutic. The environment is supportive and proactive. Participants share and work on self-understanding along with others who are facing similar challenges. The people participating earnestly want to personally grow in positive ways. Group counseling offers an educational, experiential and supportive use of the group experience to help each person’s commitment to their health and healing, their personal growth and development.
Got questions? Just ask.
for contact hours for your nursing requirements, or continuing
education CEUs for your licensure renewal in nursing, professional
counseling or social work or massage therapy?
Maybe you’re here because as a professional you not only need CEs or contact hours to maintain your license, certification or other professional requirements but you also want a class that’s personally enriching and provides some much needed self-care.
The continuing education and professional development classes I offer vary in size depending on what they are. They can be small to medium to large classes of 6 to 30 people who come together to be trained and explore a health care topic in detail.
The general format involves didactic, evidenced based information along with interactive skills-building experiences working either singly, in dyads and/or triads and/or as a group. These experiential interactions provide learning experiences that help to apply the class’s learning objectives.
Built into each of my professional development classes is cultivating resiliency through self-care. These continuing education classes are mini-retreat experiences for health care providers. They’re a place where learning and professional development meets professional self-care.
